"We know traveling to conferences can be difficult, especially at the end

at least some of the LISA experience," says our co-executive director, Anne Dickison.
As we continue ramping up to LISA '12, we've posted a series of interviews with event organizers and instructors. In this installment, Matt Simmons interviews David Blank-Edelman.
In this interview, Matt Simmons talks to LISA '12 instructor William LeFebvre.

Geoff
Halprin has a long history with USENIX, SAGE, and LISA and wrote
the book on system administration. (Actually, he wrote a couple of

preview of his LISA '12 talks and provides tips for first-time LISA
attendees. Geoff also picks a new word that best describes systems
administration.
In this interview, Ben Cotton talks
with LISA '12 instructor Stuart Kendrick.
LISA attendees aren't the only ones who
get excited when the conference approaches. Training instructors are
also feeling a rush of emotion as LISA '12 nears. I recently spoke to
first-time instructor Stuart Kendrick, who will be leading the new
"Root
Cause Analysis" class as part of the SuperSysadmin
track.
In this interview, Greg Riedesel talks to Steven
Murawski, a first-time instructor at LISA. Steven will be teaching the
PowerShell Fundamentals class on Tuesday morning, helping to get the
word out about Microsoft’s command-line mojo. If you do anything with Windows, you need to know this stuff and Steven will help you.

Today I read an interesting article called Women in physics: Are we there yet? The author, Pauline Gagnon, looks at the gender gap in the field of physics, and she notes that the situation is improving:
I had a moment of panic when I realized that 26th Large Installation System Administration Conference is in a few weeks and I didn't have a plane ticket booked. Luckily, there were still great deals available today, so my tickets are purchased, seats selected, and all that's left is the packing.
