Venue, Hotel, and Travel

LISA: Where systems engineering and operations professionals share real-world knowledge about designing, building, and maintaining the critical systems of our interconnected world.

The LISA conference has long served as the annual vendor-neutral meeting place for the wider system administration community. The LISA14 program recognized the overlap and differences between traditional and modern IT operations and engineering, and developed a highly-curated program around 5 key topics: Systems Engineering, Security, Culture, DevOps, and Monitoring/Metrics. The program included 22 half- and full-day training sessions; 10 workshops; and a conference program consisting of 50 invited talks, panels, refereed paper presentations, and mini-tutorials.

The 25th USENIX Security Symposium—and all activities unless otherwise noted—will be held at the Hyatt Regency Austin.

Why should you stay in the conference hotel?

By staying at the conference hotel, you help USENIX to keep registration fees low. When hotel rooms within our room block are empty, we face significant financial penalties, which ultimately force us to raise registration fees. We appreciate that not everyone can afford to stay in the conference hotel, so we always try to book venues that have some lower-cost alternatives nearby.

Against costs rising every year, USENIX works hard to negotiate the best hotel rates and keep other conference expenses down in order to keep registration fees as low as possible.
